Terms and conditions of provision of mobile number portability services

  • After porting the number, the Customer (hereinafter referred to as "You") becomes a subscriber of UCOM CJSC (hereinafter referred to as "Ucom") and will use Ucom service (tariff plan) that he/she has chosen in accordance with the subscription agreement concluded with Ucom. After porting the number, You will use Ucom services and will not be able to use the offers of Your previous operator on that number.
  • Your number will be ported to Ucom network within a maximum of 3 business days or during the period selected by You as specified in the number portability application. You will be notified of the scheduled date and time of porting the number via a short message (SMS). When porting, the number will be deactivated in the network of Your current operator and activated in Ucom network.
  • While porting, Your number may be unavailable for up to 2 hours. When submitting an application for porting the number, You will be provided with a Ucom SIM card with a temporary number that You can use until the moment the number is ported.
  • If You use several numbers under one subscription agreement with Your current operator, then in the event of porting one or more of them, the agreement will be terminated only in respect of the number(s) for which You submitted the application for porting. Termination of the agreement with Your current operator does not release You from fulfilling Your obligations under that agreement, including from paying off the debt (if any), the information on which can be provided by Your current operator.
  • The same number can be ported no more than 2 times within 12 months preceding the submission of the number porting application.
  • Porting the number may be rejected if:
    • the number specified in the porting application does not exist,
    • the number is not registered in Your name,
    • there are discrepancies in Your personal data,
    • a previously submitted application for number porting is already in progress,
    •  the number has been ported 2 times within the last 12 months.
  • You will be notified of the rejection of Your number porting application and the reason for it via SMS. In the event that porting the number was rejected due to inconsistency in the data provided in the application, then upon Your authorization Ucom will submit a new application on Your behalf after the data has been corrected. Nevertheless, You can re-submit the porting application in person at any time.
  • If You are an existing Ucom subscriber and after the number is ported You wish to replace Your current number with it, then in the event that the number porting is not completed, the services provided to You by Ucom will continue to be provided Your current number.
  • Based on Your porting application, while porting the number, Your current operator may restrict or suspend the services provided to You, except for incoming, local outgoing and SMS services (e.g. international outgoing calls, roaming services, etc.). If You wish to continue receiving the above services during porting the number, You must contact Your current operator to reactivate them.
  • If the number is ported within 3 business days, You can withdraw the application by visiting Ucom sales and service center before 18:00 of the day of its submission. And, if the application was filled out by an active sales specialist at Your specified location, You can withdraw the application before 18:00 of the next day from the date of its completion. If You have chosen a later date for porting the number, You can withdraw the application before 18:00 of the last working day preceding the date of porting the number.
  • In the event of porting number, the positive balance on the number account shall not be transferred to Your new Ucom account.
  • After porting the number, when calling Your number, subscribers of Your previous operator will hear a short voice signal, which will remind them that Your number has been ported to another network. The voice signal can be turned off.
  • If Your phone is encrypted (technically it can only be used in the network of Your current operator), then after porting the number, it must be decoded to be used in Ucom network.
