GUIDE TO U!TV
Here you can find a lot of useful information about your TV portal, you will learn about the special features offered by the U!TV service, you will learn how to use your features and get acquainted to your TV portal.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Nowadays more and more people chose cable television in order to watch the best TV channels with the best quality. Through our fiber-optic connection you obtain the best local and international TV channels with outstanding quality and nearly unlimited possibilities.
The Motorola Set-top box at your home is integrated in the global Ucom network. Every time you access one of the features of U!TV: time shift, catch-up, EPG, VoD, you connect to the Ucom network and through it obtain the features you have requested. For example, when you try to catch-up a program you have missed in the past 24 hours, the system sends a request to the Ucom server and obtains the requested content.

ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE
The electronic program guide (EPG) is the program schedule integrated in your TV portal.
By navigating through the EPG of your set-top box, you can see more information about the current program and about future programs. A graphical user interface, with program titles, channels and times on a grid is displayed, with the option to select more information on each program.
To access the EPG press MENU (2) on your remote control>>Program Guide>> OK (6) OR press the TV(11)button on your remote control.
Through Mini EPG you can access data about the current program, length, start and end time, day of broadcast and broadcasting channel name.
To Access Mini EPG press OK (6) on your live TV broadcasting screen. The Mini EPG window will appear.
CATCH-UP TV
Catch up program option gives you opportunity to go back through the broadcast up to 24 hours and watch the TV program or film you have missed.
Catch up program option is available from your EPG or Mini EPG. Just access your preferred TV program by navigating back in your EPG or Mini EPG, then Press OK (6) to access program Options, navigate to Catch up program and press OK (6).
NETWORK PERSONAL VIDEO RECORDER (NPVR)
The Interactivity of your TV is coming true via Network PVR. Your TV portal is a network video recorder, and you can manage your video content as you need. The possibility to Pause, Play, RW – Rewind, FW - Forward your live content will give you a chance not to miss a moment of your TV broadcast.
During the broadcast just press the Play/Pause (7) button and your broadcast will be paused. When you pause the broadcast you appear in Network PVR and you can manage your video content.
To continue watching, press the Play/Pause (7) button. To rewind your content, press RW (9), to forward press FW (9).
- You can rewind you broadcast until you reach the begining of the program.
- You can forward you broadcast until you reach the live broadcast point or the end of the program.
You can pause your program and return to it until the Program availability expires. The Program availability expires after 24 hours of its live broadcast. To return to the live broadcast from Network PVR press Back/Exit (10) twice OR press Stop (8).
RESTART PROGRAM
If you missed the beginning of a program or movie you can use Restart or Restart Program option to start watching the live broadcasting program from its beginning.
To restart the program open Mini EPG options, navigate to Restart Program, and press OK (6). The Program will start from the beginning according to start/end time mentioned in EPG.
View Restart Program options by pressing OK (6) in your mini EPG view.
To return to the live broadcast and exit Network PVR press Back/Exit (10) twice OR press Stop (8).
PARENTAL CONTROL
The Parental Control is an opportunity to keep away your child from ineligible content like movies and channels containing brutal violence, inappropriate language, horror, nudity scenes and adult content. The Parental control comes with two blocking opportunity: User rating and pin code.
RECORD PROGRAM
If you plan to watch a program, but something changed your planning, never mind. With Record program, you can schedule a recording and your TV Portal will record the program and save it for you during a month.
CREATE RECORDING
You can create recording only for programs that are broadcasting at the moment or are to be broadcasted in 24 hours.
There are 3 ways to record a program:
- From Mini EPG menu
- From the Program Guide List/Timetable view
- While watching the online streaming by pressing the REC(16) button on your remote control
Open Mini EPG/EPG, navigate right (5) to your preferred program, then press OK (6) to access program Options, navigate to Record Program and press OK (6) or navigate to the preferred program and press REC(16) on your remote control.
You can access your recording in “My content>>Recordings” folder from the main Menu bar.
Here you can manage your recordings: cancel ongoing recording, delete recording.
By default you have 2 hours of free recording space.
VOD – VIDEO ON DEMAND
Video on Demand of Ucom is a big video library right at your home. Our movies database is updated regularly which allows you to enjoy the latest movie releases immediately.
To access the Video on Demand section press MENU(2)>>Navigate to Video On Demand>>OK(6). Here you can find movie folders including movie genre folders and functional folders. Choose a movie you want to watch from one of the folders, confirm it and have the possibility to watch it within 24 hours as many times as you wish.
There is no need to realize pre-payments; you pay for the movies you have watched.
The price for one Feature film is 300 AMD.
